Parents often wonder when to start researching schools. We believe it can’t start soon enough!
Things to look for in a great school:
- A warm, welcoming environment animated by respect, dignity, kindness and commitment
- Rigorous academic programs that encourage students to reach their potential
- A holistic approach to education, where a child’s faith, heart, mind and physical well-being are consciously addressed on a consistent basis
- A sense of community, where everyone knows everyone and where each person actively contributes to creating a sense of unity
To arrange a tour of SCCS, please contact the school office at any time during the year.

Middle Years Meeting
Each year, the students in Grades 6-8 gather on the first day of school with all of their teachers. Thank you, to Mrs. Narynski, our Vice-Principal, for leading the event which included discussing the proper use of technology, especially iPads, the leadership role that Middle Years’ students have in the school community and reminders about the importance of always doing your best work.

MY First Day of Kindergarten
“Firsts” are so important! And, when that first is the first day of school, it’s a very special day. Our Kindergarten classes, under the direction of Ms. Laufer and Ms. Retalis, have begun their staggered start, with full classes set to begin in a week.
Our 2015-2016 VAs after a performance.
Our amazing Violin Ambassadors for 2016-2017 has hit the ground running. Having first practiced at a camp day in August, they have already started their early morning rehearsals.
Many students auditioned in June for the opportunity to share their gift of music with the greater community. Under the direction of Ms. Sham, the Jr. VA group will be performing at local senior residences and parish events. The Sr. VA group, under the direction of Dr. Penny, has a busy tour schedule that includes performing at Culture Days, the Shrine of Divine Mercy, Sts. Vladimir & Olga Cathedral and regional hospitals.
We are proud of our VA groups and look forward to hearing them perform!
